Real Madrid: David Alaba's heartfelt farewell message

After five seasons with Real Madrid, David Alaba has officially announced his departure from the Spanish capital club with an emotional message this Sunday.

The Austrian defender wrote an open letter to the fans. David Alaba looked back on a five-year spell marked by historic highs, but also by injuries that hampered him during his time in the Iberian capital.

"Thank you, Real Madrid. I've experienced many things in football and I know that emotional moments are simply part of the journey. But saying goodbye to Real Madrid is something truly special – and without a doubt, another deeply emotional moment in my career. When I arrived in Madrid with my family and friends, I came with excitement, big dreams, and great expectations. What I've experienced over these past five years is something I will carry with me for the rest of my life." wrote the former Bayern player.
