Signed for around €9.9 million, Trent Alexander-Arnold has already helped Real Madrid recoup his transfer fee.

With his contract at Liverpool set to expire this summer, Real chose to pay up for an immediate transfer to bolster their squad for the Club World Cup in the United States. That decision is paying off. The Englishman provided an assist in the 1-0 victory over Juventus in the round of 16—a win that brought nearly €11.8 million into the Madrid club's coffers.

All told, Real has already pocketed around €50.7 million thanks to their qualification for the knockout stages of the tournament. With a final prize estimated at around €147 million for the winners, Real Madrid can already congratulate themselves for moving early to secure Alexander-Arnold. Next up: quarter-final clash against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday, July 5.
