Sunderland: Habib Diarra's first words after signing

Officially unveiled as a Sunderland player in the Premier League, Habib Diarra has shared his first words.

Senegalese midfielder Habib Diarra has signed a five-year contract with Sunderland. The former Strasbourg captain is set to make his Premier League debut, where he is expected to be a key addition. "Habib is an exciting player. He already has over 100 professional appearances and has captained in Ligue 1, which says a lot about his leadership and technical qualities. His arrival symbolizes our ambitions. Like the club, he is ready for the Premier League," said Sunderland's sporting director, Kristjaan Speakman.

Diarra's choice to join Sunderland was no coincidence. The player himself explained his motivation for joining an ambitious club: "I'm happy and excited to become a Black Cat. I can't wait to experience the Stadium of Light and its fans. Everyone saw what this team achieved last season. I'll give everything to defend these colors in the Premier League," declared the former Strasbourg captain.
