Another injury blow for FC Barcelona. One of Hansi Flick's mainstays has picked up an injury while on international duty.

After the setback with Lamine Yamal and Dani Olmo's injury, Spain announced on Monday that it's now Ferran Torres' turn to leave the squad. The Barcelona forward is suffering from muscle overload.

"Ferran Torres has been withdrawn from the list of players selected to play the fourth 2026 World Cup qualifier against Bulgaria in Valladolid. After playing the match against Georgia in Elche, the Barcelona striker reported muscle pain, which was assessed by the RFEF medical team, including further tests that diagnosed muscle overload with no associated anatomical damage. Given the proximity of the match against Bulgaria, and in line with the policy of taking no risks and prioritizing the player's health, it was decided to withdraw him from the squad. FC Barcelona's medical staff have been informed of all the details." the statement read.
