The Netherlands dream of Pep Guardiola

After ten seasons at Manchester City, Pep Guardiola is now a free man. And his future could very well be written at the helm of a national team.

According to former Dutch international Ronald de Boer, the Dutch Football Federation should seize the opportunity to go after the Spanish tactician. De Boer believes Guardiola would be the perfect candidate to succeed Ronald Koeman, who stepped down after the Oranje's elimination from the 2026 World Cup:

The federation should give him a call. Maybe he’ll want to take a break at first, but managing a national team would allow him to stay in football at a less demanding pace than club management.

No official talks have been announced yet. But Pep Guardiola’s name keeps surfacing since his departure from Manchester City, with several national teams reportedly interested in one of the most decorated coaches of his generation.
