Renowned African journalist Micky Jnr has reported that Espérance Sportive de Tunis are on the verge of completing the signing of Algerian winger Kouceila Boualia from JS Kabylie.

At 24 years old, Boualia can play as an attacking winger or an attacking midfielder, giving Espérance even more firepower in their attacking lineup for the upcoming season.

The player has featured in 117 matches for JS Kabylie across all competitions, netting 20 goals and providing 15 assists.

Boualia endured a tough spell following a cruciate ligament injury that sidelined him for the 2021/2022 season. However, he has since regained his form and returned to competitive action in September 2022.

Kouceila Boualia joins Espérance

According to sources close to Mosaique FM radio, the Algerian international has accepted Espérance’s offer and is set to join the club during this summer transfer window.

The move had attracted interest from several clubs, notably Al Ahly and Zamalek in Egypt, as well as AS Saint-Étienne in France. However, Espérance now appear to be in pole position to seal the deal this summer.
