Out of contract since his departure from Alavés, Abdel Abqar is now firmly on Valencia CF's radar.

The 25-year-old Moroccan centre-back presents the perfect opportunity to replace Yarek Gasiorowski, who recently joined PSV. Having previously played for Málaga, Abdel Abqar has racked up nearly 100 appearances for Alavés and boasts solid La Liga experience. His vision, clean distribution, and defensive discipline make him a strong contender to become the new leader of Valencia's backline.

Valencia, always keen on smart, low-cost signings, sees Abqar as a strategic addition. Sevilla and Betis had also shown interest but have currently pulled out, giving the Che club even more reason to move quickly.
