Nigeria took the lead against Uganda in their final Group C match at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Fez with Paul Onuachu breaking the deadlock just before the half hour mark.

The Super Eagles striker finished from close range after sustained Nigerian pressure giving Eric Chelle’s rotated side deserved advantage at the Complexe Sportif de Fès.

How the Goal was scored?

Nigeria’s dominance eventually paid off as they pinned Uganda deep in their own half. A loose ball inside the penalty area fell kindly for Onuachu who reacted quickest to apply the finishing touch from point blank range and put the Super Eagles in front.
