World Cup 2026 preparations: Algeria set to face the Netherlands (official)

After the upcoming FIFA matchdays in March, Algeria will take on the Netherlands before heading off to the 2026 World Cup.

Algeria is gearing up for its first World Cup appearance since 2014. Having faced criticism for missing the last two editions of the tournament, the Fennecs are determined to arrive with a point to prove and ready to seize this summer's challenge. To ensure optimal preparation, Vladimir Petkovic's squad will engage in a series of friendlies during the upcoming international windows.

Riyad Mahrez and his teammates will square off against Uruguay and Guatemala at the end of this month. Before the 2026 World Cup, Algeria will play another friendly against the Netherlands on June 3, as officially announced by the Algerian Football Federation on its social media channels this Monday.
