The Moroccan newspaper Al Mountakhab reported in recent hours that the Zamalek board was considering Amine Benhachem among its options to take charge of the team in the upcoming period.

The Egyptian club’s interest in the Moroccan coach comes after the positive results he achieved with Modern Sport, having guided the team to four wins, one draw and just one defeat in the Egyptian league.

Benhachem had previously coached Wydad Casablanca as well as several Moroccan clubs, before gaining his first experience outside Morocco with Modern Sport.

The possibility of signing Benhachem therefore remains among the options being considered by Zamalek, with no official move having been announced in this regard to date.

On the domestic front, Zamalek will face another test against Petrojet Assiout this Tuesday, as part of the seventh round of the Egyptian league. The match will be played at Borg El Arab Stadium from 3 p.m. (3:00 p.m.) GMT.

The fixture comes as the White Knights seek to correct their course in the domestic league following their 2-0 defeat to Al Ahly, especially since they had somewhat regained their balance with a 1-0 victory over the Rwandan Army in the African Champions League.
