2026 World Cup: Saudi Arabia sacks Hervé Renard

Less than two months before the 2026 World Cup, Hervé Renard is set to lose his job as head coach of Saudi Arabia.

After nearly leaving during the last international break in March, Hervé Renard will indeed be stepping down as head coach of Saudi Arabia. According to information from RMC Sport, the Savoyard tactician was informed this Friday by the Saudi Federation that he had been dismissed with immediate effect.

This decision comes less than two months before the start of the 2026 World Cup. As a reminder, Hervé Renard had led the Green Falcons to World Cup qualification.
