AFCON 2025: Luis Campos sends a message to African talents

PSG sporting director Luis Campos has paid a glowing tribute to African football as AFCON 2025 heats up in Morocco.

During AFCON 2025, the top brass of major clubs are on the lookout for tomorrow's next big star. At PSG, Luis Campos, the sporting chief, isn't missing a single moment of the tournament. On his social media, the Portuguese executive even posted a heartfelt message to ring in the new year, paying special tribute to African football with a video. The clip showcases young players displaying their dazzling skills.

"Hello 2026, and especially greetings to all lovers of beautiful football. I'm starting 2026 by paying tribute to all African talents (AFCON is underway), because the conditions for their development are often extremely challenging. One of them already wears the PSG shirt. They play a sensational possession game, always on the move, constantly switching positions. The speed at which the ball moves between them is unbelievable. They use both feet... Where have I seen this before, in packed stadiums and wild celebrations?! Let the party continue..." wrote Luis Campos.
