CAN 2032: The AES trio officially enters the race to host
AFCON 2032: AES trio officially enters the race

This is a historic move. CAF has officially confirmed the declaration of interest from Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger to host the 2032 Africa Cup of Nations, as reported by Feni Foot on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.

The joint hosting project led by the three Sahel Alliance nations is now making tangible progress. This endorsement sends a powerful message from these three Sahel countries, who are seeking to host the tournament for the very first time in their history.

On the sidelines of the 2026 World Cup, the presidents of the three national football federations held a meeting described as "fruitful" with CAF president Dr. Patrice Motsepe.

For Niger, Burkina Faso, and Mali, the objective is clear: to prove their ability to jointly stage the continent's biggest football event in 2032. The joint bid is now official, and the next step is to prepare a compelling bid dossier.
