Former Manchester City, Juventus and Al-Hilal player João Cancelo broke his silence in recent hours to respond to his critics at FC Barcelone.

Heavily criticised for his performance in FC Barcelona's defeat to Paris Saint-Germain (4-2) last Tuesday in the Champions League, João Cancelo (32, 9 appearances and 2 goals in all competitions this season) was not pleased. He had, in fact, read the comments about his level of play.

The Portuguese's clear response

Having started at left-back on Tuesday against Paris Saint-Germain, the versatile Portuguese full-back wanted to respond to his critics on social media. "From the stands, everyone is an expert. I want to see them on the pitch and handling the pressure," said the former Manchester City player in an Instagram story.

Cancelo believes it’s easy to criticize from the sidelines, but facing the pressure on the pitch is a completely different story. ⚽💪 📲: Instagram
