To win a title, you absolutely need a top-class goalkeeper. That was the case for the Moroccan national team, who relied on Mehdi Benabid to lift the 2025 Arab Cup.

Morocco's A' team was crowned Arab champions after defeating Jordan 3-2 in the final. Among the standout features of this Moroccan squad were their defensive solidity and, above all, their goalkeeper.

Indeed, before the final, Tarek Sektioui's men conceded just one goal in five matches, keeping clean sheets against Oman, Saudi Arabia, Syria, and the United Arab Emirates.
