Jules Koundé is eagerly anticipating the clash with Galatasaray. Two days before FC Barcelona’s trip to Istanbul, scheduled for Tuesday, October 13 in the Champions League, the French defender expressed his enthusiasm at the prospect of playing in this European fixture.

Koundé relishing the big European fixtures

The Catalan defender believes his team is going through a positive period, with a committed squad and players determined to earn their place:

We are going through a good period, everyone is contributing and everyone wants to play. We have made a good start, but we want more.

Jules Koundé nevertheless pointed out that the slightest lapse in concentration could prove costly at this level. In his view, Barcelona will have to remain focused against a Turkish team capable of capitalising on the slightest mistake. The France international also expressed his enthusiasm ahead of the match:

We have a match against Galatasaray in a few days and we will approach it wholeheartedly. We are very happy to play in big fixtures. It is exactly for these kinds of matches that we play football. I am really looking forward to the upcoming games.
