In recent hours, Benfica Lisbon are said to have pulled out of negotiations for Mohamed Amoura.

After Wolfsburg turned down a new €35 million offer, Benfica—on the hunt for a new attacking spearhead following Angel Di Maria’s departure—has reportedly decided to close the Mohamed Amoura file and shift its focus to another target. That’s according to Portuguese outlet Record.

Wolfsburg are demanding up to €40 million to release the diminutive striker, who still has four years left on his contract. According to information from Sky Sports Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, Mohamed Amoura had nevertheless reached a personal agreement with the Portuguese runners-up.
