Clasico: Real Madrid move ahead of FC Barcelona in number of wins
With their victory over FC Barcelona on Sunday evening, Real Madrid now have more wins than the Catalan club in the Clasico.
By winning the 265th Clasico in history against FC Barcelona (2-1) in La Liga, Real Madrid have regained the upper hand. This is particularly evident in the historical head-to-head record. Los Blancos have won 107 matches, compared with 106 for the Blaugrana, along with 52 draws.
FC Barcelona had won six of their last seven matches before losing to José Mourinho's team.
Raphinha's departure, Barça's downfall?
Yesterday, FC Barcelona conceded the decisive goal in the 87th minute. It came one minute after Raphinha's departure (29 years old, 9 matches and 13 goals in La Liga this season). Nevertheless, Hans-Dieter Flick had not planned to replace the Brazilian forward. He had even intended to use him in a deeper position to try to snatch victory.

"We wanted to play the final minutes with Raphinha as a No. 10, but he asked us to take him off. He could no longer play," the Barcelona coach said at the press conference.
