There's a new twist in the Julián Álvarez saga. FC Barcelona is more determined than ever to sign him this summer.

Hansi Flick has reportedly reached out to the Argentine striker by phone. According to Matías Palacios, the German coach wanted to express his interest directly, making a first personal contact.

Flick envisions Álvarez as a key part of his project for next season, and the forward could well join the current league leaders after his season in the capital. As a reminder, Julián Álvarez is Barça's top target to strengthen their attack.
