FC Barcelona: Robert Lewandowski defends himself over his age and fitness

Although he’s been used less frequently at the start of this season with FC Barcelona, Robert Lewandowski once again defended his fitness and form.

In recent months, Robert Lewandowski’s performances have been less impactful. The Polish striker has indeed seen less playing time at FC Barcelona since the beginning of the season. According to him, his age—not his form—is being used as a pretext to explain his reduced minutes in recent weeks.

"I’m not saying I’m a victim of my age, but some people exploit it. I feel in excellent shape! I don’t expect to play 90 minutes every match, and my view of football has changed a bit, but when I’m on the pitch, I know I can do great things," he told TVP Sport.
