On Wednesday night, FC Barcelona and Atlético Madrid will clash once again. This time, it's in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals. On the eve of this high-stakes encounter, Hansi Flick has issued a warning to Diego Simeone's men.

Hansi Flick appeared at a press conference this Tuesday to discuss an opponent he knows all too well. "Atlético are a formidable team. They have the right mentality, fast players, and they're effective on the pitch. On Saturday, they rotated their squad and still delivered a strong performance. Scoring two goals against Atlético is no easy feat. That's all I can say. It's always a tough match. The atmosphere will be electric. We'll try to get a good result, but we know we have to impose our style of play. We want to achieve our goal." he declared.

Looking ahead to tomorrow's showdown, Flick wants to draw on the recent meetings with the Colchoneros: "It's different. Not completely, but different. The Champions League is a different competition. That's how I see it. We're up against a formidable opponent with fantastic players. We want to go through to the next round. We have to focus on our performance and on what we do. We have to concentrate on our own work. That's what I want to see (…) We have to focus on the game. What's important is being focused from the very start. We're ready for these two matches. It's the Champions League, it's fantastic to play. Everyone wants to be involved."
