Inter Miami and San Diego FC played out a 2-2 draw on Sunday night into Monday morning in the 27th round of MLS.

Trailing since the 12th minute, Inter Miami equalised through Lionel Messi in the 24th minute. The Argentine forward converted a free kick directly to bring the two teams level.

This goal took Messi's tally to 101 with Inter Miami and 930 in his career, including 75 scored from free kicks.

The Argentine also has 20 goals in MLS this season and sits alone at the top of the scoring charts, two goals ahead of Croatian Petar Musa, who plays for FC Dallas.

Inter Miami then took the lead through Luis Suárez in the 74th minute before Anders Dreyer equalised for San Diego in the 82nd minute.
