Barcelona put on a statement performance at Camp Nou, dismantling Sevilla 5–2 on La Liga Matchday 28. The scoreline alone would have been enough to send fans home happy, but the night carried deeper meaning—Gavi was back.

The 21-year-old midfielder had not set foot on a pitch for nearly seven months, sidelined since August 23 by a serious knee injury. When he stepped onto the field in the 82nd minute to replace Raphinha, the stadium erupted. The captain's armband was passed to him on the spot, and the crowd responded with a thunderous chant of “Gavi, Gavi” that echoed long after the final whistle.

The match itself was a showcase of Barcelona's firepower. Raphinha delivered a hat-trick, while Cancelo and Olmo also found the net. Sevilla's goals came from Oso and Sow, but they were mere footnotes on an evening dominated by the hosts.
