Ibrahim Diabaté faces uncertainty after Alavés decision

Ibrahim Diabaté's future has become more complicated following Deportivo Alavés' decision. The Spanish club has opted not to activate the purchase option included in his loan deal.

Arriving with high hopes of making his mark in La Liga, the Ivorian striker didn't fully convince during his season in Spain. Despite showing flashes of promise and bringing energy to the attack, he was unable to secure a regular starting spot. The fee set for a permanent transfer is considered too steep by Alavés management, who have decided not to take that financial risk.

A renegotiation could still be on the table, but only if the price is lowered. Diabaté now finds himself in a state of limbo: he could return to his parent club, or perhaps land a new opportunity in Spain should another team make a move. His future is expected to become clearer in the coming weeks.
