Ilaix Moriba is edging closer to a possible departure this summer. At this point, Aston Villa appears to have taken the lead.

Impressed by the Guinean midfielder’s profile, Unai Emery has reportedly given the green light internally for a move. The Spanish coach is particularly fond of Moriba’s strength, his ability to break lines, and his forward runs. Monitored for several months, Moriba ticks all the boxes to bolster the Villans’ midfield.

On the other side, Celta Vigo seem open to a transfer. Strained financially, the Spanish club would welcome a sale estimated at a minimum of €20 million.
