Algerian defender Ramy Bensebaini (30) will miss the upcoming friendlies against Zimbabwe and Saudi Arabia, scheduled for November 13 and 18 in Jeddah, due to a back injury.

The Borussia Dortmund left-back will therefore be unable to join the squad led by Swiss coach Vladimir Petkovic.

The Algerian Football Federation (FAF) announced on Sunday via its official website that Bensebaini has been forced to withdraw from these fixtures. The decision was made after consultation with his club, Borussia Dortmund.

The coach and medical staff have opted to grant him complete rest to avoid aggravating the injury and to ensure full recovery before his return to action.

Bensebaini is a key player for the Fennecs. To date, he has played 75 matches for the national team, scoring seven goals and providing five assists.
