Leeds United Football Club has reached an agreement with Daniel Farke to extend the German manager's contract with the first team until 2029.

Although the manager has managed only one victory in his last five matches with the English side, the club's leadership appears to have great confidence in him and intends to continue with him as the manager for the long-term project as well.

The English management has confidence in the 50-year-old coach

According to football insider Nicolò Schira, everything has been settled — the two sides have agreed on every detail of the new employment contract, and the deal is done. The Yorkshire club's hierarchy holds the team's progress under the 50-year-old German coach in high regard and is eager to lock down long-term stability in the dugout well ahead of time.

Official word on the extension is expected imminently. A new five-year agreement is meant to draw a line under any speculation about the coach's future and to give Farke a free hand to keep reshaping the squad — both in terms of personnel and tactics.

It is worth recalling that Daniel Farke took the reins at Leeds United in the summer of 2023, instilling an attractive possession-based style and a strong sense of discipline in the Whites. Before his move to Yorkshire, the German had built a reputation in England as a master of achieving promotion objectives, twice guiding Norwich City to the Premier League as Championship winners.
