Nasreddine Nabi agrees deal to take over at African giants
Foot Africa can confirm that Nasreddine Nabi has reached an agreement in principle to take over as the new head coach of Raja Club Athletic.
This comes after the Green Eagles parted ways with Fadlu Davids following a string of poor results in the Botola Pro League.
The South African mentor lost his last two matches in charge of the club, leaving RCA in fifth place and four points off the summit, having amassed 42 points.
It is understood that the Raja hierarchy were unimpressed with the team's defeats to title rivals Wydad Club Athletic, RS Berkane, and FAR Rabat, ultimately pulling the plug.
Davids, who was appointed in September 2025, oversaw 22 matches in the Raja hotseat, winning 12 games, drawing five, and lost five other encounters.
Meanwhile, Nabi has been unattached since severing ties with Kaizer Chiefs in September 2025, rebuffing the opportunity to coach his native Tunisia in the process.
Now, sources close to the negotiations have told this publication that the 60-year-old tactician has accepted a proposal to lead the project in the green side of Casablanca.
He is expected to sign a one-and-a-half-year deal with a result-based automatic option to extend his stay in Morocco by a further 12 months.
Nabi is expected to touch down in Morocco to iron out finer details of the agreement and formalities, before an official confirmation of his appointment by the club.
