Marseille will have to make do without Tochukwu Nnadi for Sunday's showdown with PSG, after the Super Eagles midfielder failed to shake off his injury in time. The setback stems from a knee problem he picked up during the second half of Marseille's 2-0 defeat to Monaco, a match in which Neal Maupay came on to replace the Nigerian at the Stade Louis II.

Rather than go under the knife, Nnadi chose to pursue conservative treatment, hoping to cut down his time on the sidelines. But his comeback has not come soon enough. Speaking at Saturday's press conference, Marseille coach Bruno Genesio confirmed that both Nnadi and Godfrey Kondogbia would sit out the Classique, having failed to recover from their respective injuries.

"Only Nnadi and Kondogbia will be unavailable," the Marseille boss told the media, via Made In Marseillais.

Since picking up the knock, Nnadi has already been absent for his side's last two league outings, against Paris FC and Rennes. His name was also missing from the Super Eagles squad for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau, as well as the friendly against Russia.

The midfielder will now use the three-week international break to focus on his recovery, with the aim of returning to action and rediscovering his best form once club football resumes.
