Nottingham Forest pushes for Soungoutou Magassa
Soungoutou Magassa / AS Monaco

Suitors for Soungoutou Magassa are multiplying and jostling for position. After a recent bid from West Ham was turned down by AS Monaco, it is now Nottingham Forest making their move. The Tricky Trees have tabled a significant offer for the midfielder.

Soungoutou Magassa enjoyed impressive development over the past season. Frequently in the starting lineup, he showcased his versatility, able to play as a holding midfielder shielding the defense or even slot in at center-back. With his high work rate and sharp tactical awareness, he embodies the modern defensive midfielder—capable of sparking transitions while adding steel in the middle of the park.

After a fairly successful Premier League campaign, Nottingham Forest are looking to strengthen wisely. According to the latest reports, the English club—already quite active in the transfer market—has submitted a bid of €17 million plus €3 million in add-ons to persuade AS Monaco to part with their young talent.

Monaco keeping calm... for now

While West Ham’s offer was dismissed, Nottingham’s proposal might give Monaco’s board something to think about. No decision has been made yet, but discussions are ongoing behind the scenes. AS Monaco aren’t desperate to sell, but would not rule out a departure if a satisfactory offer arrives—especially if the player himself is eager to test himself in the Premier League.
