Official: Hazard is back

It's official: Thorgan Hazard is back at RC Lens. After ending his stint with Anderlecht, the Belgian international has signed with the French club until June 30, 2028.

Having come up through the ranks at Lens before moving to Chelsea in 2012, the 33-year-old returns to a club he knows inside out. RC Lens sporting director Jean-Louis Leca expressed his delight at Hazard's homecoming:

Thorgan will bring his experience, passing quality, pace, and leadership. His return is a powerful symbol for the club.

Throughout his career, Hazard has worn the shirts of Borussia Mönchengladbach, Borussia Dortmund, PSV Eindhoven, and Anderlecht. Last season, he made his mark with 15 goals for Anderlecht. With Lens qualified for the upcoming Champions League, the club is banking on the Belgian's experience to bolster the squad ahead of the new campaign.
