Relebohile Mofokeng found the back of the net as Royale Union Saint-Gilloise eased past St.Truiden 3-0 in the Belgian Pro League on Wednesday evening.

The 21-year-old attacker rounded up the scoring in the 63rd minute after Louis Patris and Kevin Mac Allister had put USG 2-0 up with goals in either half.

He took his tally to two goals in the Belgian topflight division, in what was his first start, having opened his account in the 5-1 thrashing of Westerlo in the opening weekend.

Mofokeng is gradually becoming a fan favourite at USG, as he also scored the winning penalty which saw his team beat Belgian giants Club Brugge in the Super Cup in July.

The Bafana international signed for the Belgian side from reigning Betway Premiership champions Orlando Pirates after partaking in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

His contract is set to run until June 2030 with a one-year club option, as USG forked out a fee worth in the region of €3.500 000 (R65 million) to the Buccaneers.

USG, meanwhile, moved up to second place on the log standings, with 10 points accumulated from the first four league outings, after the latest win.

Mofokeng will be eager to maintain his momentum when USG visit log leaders Sporting Charleroi in their next league outing at Stade du Pays de Charleroi on Saturday.
