Seville: Sergio Ramos sees his takeover bid under threat

Sergio Ramos' plan to take over Sevilla FC has hit a major roadblock. While a deal seemed all but finalized in recent weeks with the Argentine fund Five Eleven Capital, the situation has completely shifted after a new offer was presented by Ramos' camp.

Initially, the consortium wanted to acquire nearly 80% of the Andalusian club's shares. But according to the latest reports, the new offer now covers only 60% of the shares. This proposal has sparked anger among several major Sevilla shareholders, with some even considering the deal to be "almost dead".

A club legend, Sergio Ramos was hoping to play a key role in Sevilla FC's new leadership, alongside investors backed by Five Eleven Capital. However, negotiations remain open until May 31, when the consortium's exclusivity period comes to an end.
