Morocco has been drawn into group C at the 2026 World Cup, where they’ll face Brazil, Haiti, and Scotland. The Atlas Lions are seen as favorites alongside the Seleção in this lineup.

Walid Regragui’s men are set to compete in a group that brings back... some painful memories. In fact, Morocco has previously shared a group with both Brazil and Scotland.

That was back at the 1998 World Cup in France. Mustapha Hadji and his teammates were knocked out at the group stage after losing to Brazil (3-0) and drawing with Norway (2-2). Despite a convincing win over Scotland (3-0) on the final matchday, they were eliminated in heartbreaking fashion after Brazil and Norway played to a draw.
