The time for disappointment is already over for the Fennecs. Beaten by Argentina in their 2026 World Cup opener, Vladimir Petkovic’s men have returned to training with a single goal in mind: bounce back against Jordan.

Algeria has no time to dwell on their misfortune. Just one day after their 3-0 defeat to Argentina in their World Cup debut, the Fennecs were back at Rock Chalk Park at the University of Kansas, determined to quickly put the loss behind them.

The morning session, which kicked off at 11:00 am, was tailored according to each player’s time on the pitch. The starters underwent a recovery session, while the rest of the squad completed a full training with the ball. Petkovic and his staff managed the workload with meticulous attention.

Now, the squad has their sights set firmly on one target: Jordan. Riyad Mahrez and his teammates will take on the Nashamiyin on June 22 at 8:00 pm local time (June 23 at 4:00 am Algerian time). It’s a crucial showdown before their final group clash against Austria.
