After Senegal and Morocco booked their places in the semi-finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, the identities of the remaining two semi-finalists will be revealed this Saturday, January 10, 2026.
Having edged past DR Congo in a dramatic duel—thanks to Adil Boulbina’s goal at the end of extra time—Algeria now faces a new, formidable test. The Fennecs go up against Nigeria, who cruised past Mozambique (4-0) in a one-sided round of 16 clash.

This match pits the tournament’s best defense—Algeria, with just one goal conceded in four matches—against the most prolific attack, Nigeria, whose players have netted 12 goals in four outings. Ademola Lookman and Victor Osimhen are among the Super Eagles' key weapons and will be up against Luka Zidane, who boasts three clean sheets.

Later on, Egypt and Ivory Coast face off in a fixture that has become a tournament classic. This will be the 12th meeting between the two sides, making it the most contested matchup in the history of the competition. Expect a tactical chess match between Emerse Faé and Hossam Hassan, as well as several on-pitch duels featuring stars like Mohamed Salah, Omar Marmoush, Amad Diallo, and Yan Diomandé.
Here’s Saturday’s schedule:
