Anthony Gordon shares his first words at Barça

The day after his official transfer to FC Barcelona, Anthony Gordon spoke out on social media. The England international expressed his excitement and ambitions for this new chapter in his career.

Having joined FC Barcelona last night from Newcastle for a fee estimated between 70 and 80 million euros, England international Anthony Gordon has signed a five-year contract, running until 2031, with a net salary of around 7 million euros per season. The former Newcastle number 10 shared his first message as a Barça player on his social media:

“Hello Culers.

I am very happy and proud to be here. This is a dream come true.

You don’t sign for a club like this every day. I will work very hard and help the team win many trophies.

I know the responsibility that comes with playing for FC Barcelona, and I am very excited and ready to take on this challenge. I can’t wait to meet my teammates and my coach, and to start this new chapter here.

I want to thank Rafa Yuste, Joan Laporta, Deco, and everyone at the club for this opportunity and for all the trust they have shown me.
