Cameroon - Élite One (Matchday 15): Colombe Sportive keeps rolling and climbs to second place

The reigning champions continue their resurgence. In an early fixture of Matchday 15, Colombe Sportive du Sud dominated Gazelle FA de Garoua, extending their spectacular climb up the standings. Meanwhile, Coton Sport suffered a surprising setback.

Riding a wave of impressive form since the end of the first half of the season, Colombe Sportive du Dja et Lobo struck again by overpowering Gazelle FA (3-0) at the Omnisports Stadium in Yaoundé. In total control, the Southern Birds made the difference through goals from Eyango Priso (33’), Katawari Moubarak (53’), and Fergani Edzimbii (90+2’).

This commanding performance confirms the champions’ growing momentum, as they now firmly hold second place. With just a four-point gap behind Unisport du Haut-Nkam, Colombe has emerged as the main challenger in the second half of the campaign.

Coton Sport stunned in Garoua

The big surprise of the day came in Garoua, where Coton Sport suffered a 0-2 home defeat against Aigle Royal du Moungo, a team that has struggled since the start of the season.

Disciplined and resilient, the Moungo side delivered a composed performance to claim a prestigious win over one of the league’s heavyweights.

This defeat significantly hampers Coton Sport's title ambitions, especially as the competition intensifies with every matchday.
