FC Barcelona: Anthony Gordon couldn't believe his move to the Catalan club

This summer, Anthony Gordon left Newcastle to join Hansi Flick's FC Barcelona. The English player spoke about a transfer he never saw coming.

Having arrived at FC Barcelona this summer, Anthony Gordon (25, 5 La Liga appearances this season) needed time to realise that the possibility of signing for the Catalan club was indeed real. The now-former Newcastle forward initially thought it was a joke.

"For a while, I didn't believe that the agreement with Barcelona was real. I said to my agent: 'yeah, yeah, alright…'. I didn't show much interest because I didn't think it was that serious. Then I had a call with Hansi Flick, and that's when I knew it was real," the England international revealed to RAC1.

It should be noted that at the end of last May, Anthony Gordon ultimately completed a transfer estimated at €80 million.
