João Cancelo is looking to stay at FC Barcelona despite the many uncertainties surrounding his future. According to Spanish outlet Sport, the Portuguese full-back wants to remain in Catalonia for at least two more seasons.

The same source reports that the player has no intention of returning to Al-Hilal and is even prepared to lower his salary to help secure his stay at Barça.
The main stumbling block remains financial. The Saudi club is reportedly demanding between 10 and 15 million euros to release the Portuguese defender, who is still under contract until 2027. On their end, FC Barcelona are trying to negotiate this fee down to find a solution that fits within La Liga's financial fair play regulations.
