Manchester United has found the missing piece to finally reign over the Premier League!

With just a few weeks to go before the winter transfer window, Manchester United is already plotting its next moves. According to TEAMtalk, the Red Devils have made Nottingham Forest's central midfielder Elliot Anderson their top priority to inject much-needed creativity into their midfield.

A transfer deemed within reach

At 22, Anderson has established himself as one of Nottingham's most consistent performers since arriving from Newcastle in the summer of 2024 for €41.5 million. With 2 goals and 7 assists in 55 appearances, the young Englishman has impressed with his vision and ability to break defensive lines. These qualities have caught the eye of Amorim and the Manchester United staff, who are convinced his profile would fit seamlessly into the squad.

Negotiations are expected to progress smoothly: the player is reportedly excited about the prospect of joining Old Trafford, while Nottingham's financial demands are not seen as a major obstacle. Valued at €45 million by Transfermarkt, Anderson could become United's first winter signing.

Meanwhile, Rúben Amorim—himself frequently linked with the United managerial job—has also given his approval, seeing Anderson as a promising addition to the midfield. Should the deal go through, Manchester United hopes to make a statement signing in January, reigniting a lackluster season and laying the groundwork for a new era.
