Orlando Pirates have been dealt with a huge blow ahead of their Betway Premiership clash against Polokwane City at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Wednesday (19h30).

The Buccaneers head into the match fresh from their Soweto derby mauling of bitter rivals Kaizer Chiefs over the weekend.

Pirates sit at the summit of the log standings, level on 41 points with defending champions and second-placed Mamelodi Sundowns.

With the clash against Rise and Shine looming, Abdeslam Ouaddou's men will have to do without the reliable services of Kamogelo Sebelebele, who operates as a right winger and a right-back.

The utility player will be serving a one-match suspension after picking up his fourth yellow card of the season in the man of the match winning performance against Chiefs as a full-back.

Pirates, however, have adequate cover on the right side, with Deano Van Rooyen, Thabiso Lebitso, and Bandile Shandu all available for selection.

Meanwhile, Phuti Mohafe's troops will be without dynamic midfielder Rodney Maphangule, who will also be serving a one-match suspension.
