In addition to the shortlist for the 2025/2026 Manager of the Season accolade, the Premier League has also announced the eight contenders vying for the Player of the Season trophy. These nominees hail from five different clubs: Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Brentford, and Nottingham Forest.

The clear front-runner for this year’s award appears to be Bruno Fernandes. The Portuguese maestro currently leads the Premier League in assists with 19, and with two matches left, he could equal—or even surpass—the record of 20 assists, a mark jointly held by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne.
