Moroccan international and Paris Saint-Germain defender Achraf Hakimi has opened up about the evolving nature of his relationship with Kylian Mbappé, acknowledging that the French superstar's romance with Spanish actress Ester Expósito has made it harder for them to stay close off the field.

During a recent interview, Hakimi reflected on the difficulties of maintaining strong friendships outside of football, especially as teammates' personal lives change. He explained that while the dressing room still brings them together, life beyond the pitch often pulls people in different directions.

"It's not easy to find friends who share your interests outside the game. We spend a lot of time together in the locker room, but outside of it, you don't always want to see the same faces—everyone has their own family, kids... But with Kylian, it was easier when he wasn't seeing anyone," Hakimi stated.
