Wydad, Raja share spoils in Casablanca derby
Wydad Athletic Club and Raja Club Athletic settled for a share of the spoils in a goalless stalemate in the Casablanca derby on Wednesday night.
While the match was highly anticipated, it lacked clear-cut goal-scoring opportunities, despite both teams' attempts to create chances.
As a result, Raja, who are under the tutelage of South African mentor Fadlu Davids, remain in second place on the log standings, with 12 points from six games.
On the other hand, despite being in red-hot form, former Mamelodi Sundowns star Thembinkosi Lorch couldn't inspire Wydad to victory.
The Red Castle currently sit in fourth place with 11 points amassed from five league matches thus far this season.
It's former AmaZulu head coach Pablo Franco Martin, who is at the summit of the table with MAS Fes as they are level on points with Raja after the same number of games played.
