Arsenal: Really interested in signing Nico Williams!

Arsenal have once again turned their attention to one of the most high-profile targets available to strengthen their left wing.

According to TEAMtalk, the Gunners have renewed contact regarding a potential move for Athletic Bilbao and Spain international winger Nico Williams.

The Spanish attacker has resurfaced on Arsenal's shortlist after the club encountered setbacks in their attempts to sign Morgan Rogers and Bradley Barcola.

The primary hurdle for Arsenal remains the financial outlay required. Williams' contract with Athletic contains a €90 million release clause.

The Basque side are unlikely to let their key player leave easily and may insist that Arsenal trigger the full release clause if they want to secure his signature.

No final agreement has been reached between the parties at this stage, but Arsenal are already exploring the possibility of opening formal negotiations.
