Arsène Kouassi signs with the Merlus until 2029

It had been in the works, and now it’s official. Arsène Kouassi has just signed a four-year contract with FC Lorient.

The Burkinabè full-back leaves AC Ajaccio for a new adventure in Ligue 1. He enjoyed a full season with the senior team, delivering 3 assists in 24 Ligue 2 matches.

The 20-year-old will now experience top-flight football with the Merlus. He didn’t hide his excitement, as quoted by the club’s official website.

"Joining a Ligue 1 side is a real achievement for me and a major step in my young career. FC Lorient made a great impression on me last season, and joining them in the top division shows a lot of trust from the club’s management. I can’t wait to meet my new teammates and experience the atmosphere at the Stade du Moustoir," he said.
