Following his sending-off on Wednesday evening in the Champions League against Viking, Michael Olise now knows where he stands at Bayern.

French international winger Michael Olise has been the subject of debate in Germany since receiving a red card against Viking Stavanger in the Champions League. His poor challenge, for which he apologised, earned him a reprimand from his coach. Olise also faced scathing criticism from part of the German press.

Will Michael Olise be sanctioned by Bayern?

The question of a possible suspension for Olise was put to sporting director Max Eberl at a press conference on Friday. “We discussed the matter and resolved it internally. The whole affair is now over,” Eberl replied.

Bayern Munich will be without their 24-year-old French international for their next Champions League match, a clash against Arsenal next Wednesday.
