The curtain has fallen on Véron Mosengo-Omba’s resignation from the Confederation of African Football (CAF). The Congolese official has officially left his post as secretary general, driven by national ambitions. According to our sources, this decision is far from trivial. Véron Mosengo-Omba decided to step aside in order to fully commit to his bid for the presidency of the Congolese Football Association.

By positioning himself to lead the football governing body in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the former head of CAF administration now aims to play a leading role in the national football governance.
