The Senegalese Football Federation has made its decision: the new kits of the Lions of Teranga now proudly feature a second star. This long-anticipated correction comes after controversy erupted over the initial designs, which showed only a single star despite Senegal’s claim to the title at CAN 2025.

Initially, the FSF explained the missing star by citing an early order placed with Puma, made before the tournament began. Now corrected, this added star is a bold statement, especially as debate continues to swirl around the legitimacy of Senegal's title.

Legally, the case remains unresolved. Senegal has taken the matter to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to contest the CAF’s decision, escalating a standoff that now goes far beyond the pitch.
